Angelito L. David received a certificate from Frances A. Benson, Director of the Union County Division on Aging, during the awarding ceremony and reception on June 6, 2018 held at the atrium of the Elizabethtown Gas Company Building on 1085 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J.

David won first place in the Professional Watercolor category with his painting entitled, Resting Banca (Philippine Fishing Boat), shown above with the artist and his wife Teya David.

Administered by the Office of Cultural and Heritage, the 2018 Union County Senior Citizens Art Exhibit is on display until July 9, 2018 and is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

A feast for the eye, the show has 150 pieces of artworks in different media, i.e., Acrylic, Craft, Mixed Media, Oil, Pastel, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Watercolor, and Works on Paper done by the talented senior artists within Union County.

All first place winners will eventually be exhibited next at the Freeholders Gallery located at the UC Administration Building, Elizabethtown Plaza, Elizabeth, N.J.

And in the Fall, all first place winners from the different participating counties of New Jersey will again compete within their categories at the state level.

This huge event takes place at Meadow Lakes, a splendid senior community setting in East Windsor, N.J.
