Renowned Filipino artist Manuel A. Rodriguez Sr. (above), father of Philippine Contemporary Printmaking, will launch his autobiography “Manuel A. Rodriguez Sr., His Life And Art,” written by Eva Florentino, on Sept. 16 (at 6 p.m.) at the Philippine Center on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

Philippine Fiesta main performers Ariel Rivera, Zsa-Zsa Padilla, Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco flanked with regional performers introduced by Ogie Afable, production director.

“Dance Of My Life,” a poignant film that chronicles the transformation of Brazil’s Filipino Carnival Queen Bessie Badilla (above) — from her humble childhood in the Philippines to her celebrated stint as a Balenciaga model in Paris, and her personal battle with cancer — will be shown at the First Hell’s Kitchen Film Festival in New York on Sept. 4 and Sept. 9.
