The durable Side A Band is returning to New York City on April 13 at Queens College at 65-30 Kissena Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11367.

Following the recent success of the 3-in-1 show of Parokya ni Edgar, Gloc-9 and Mocha Girls, concert producer Nosaj Entertainment is bringing to New York City one of the Philippines’ all-time favorite bands, Side A, on April 13 at Colden Auditorium, Queens College.

The multi-awarded band is famous for its string of megahits such as “Forevermore,” “Tell Me,” “Hold On,” “Foolish Heart,” “Clara’s Eyes,” “By Your Side” and “So Many Questions,” to name a few.

Side A is composed of Joey Generoso (lead vocals, guitar), Naldy Gonzalez (keyboard, vocals), Ned Esguerra (bass guitar, vocals), Ernie Severino (drums, vocals), Leevon Cailao (lead guitar, vocals) and Arniel T. Stoneslow (back up vocals, rhythm).

Joining Side A in its Big Apple gig is KZ Tandingan, winner of the first season of “X Factor” Philippines.

KZ, who received a P4 million recording contract with Star Music, later won as Best New Artist at the 25th Aliw Awards last year.

New York-based singers Jerome Amanquiton and Gail Banawis are also performing.

In terms of commercial success, no other band in the Philippines was able to match Side A’s track record in the 80s, 90s until early 2000s.

Its self-titled debut album includes the group’s first hit single “Eva Marie,” which paved the way for the band’s phenomenal success.

Its third album in 1993 reached triple platinum and the band went on to win numerous music awards, as it also travelled around the globe mounting shows for various Filipino communities.

The NYC show is in partnership with Remfil Entertainment, in association with TFC.
