Fifteen-year-old Queens, N.Y. resident Nicoletta Julia Berry, who Montserrat Caballe recently referred to as a “talented and gifted singer” at the 2013 Zaragoza Master Classes, will be in Recital on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. at the National Opera Center, 330 7th Avenue (near 29th Street) in Manhattan.

Berry, a Filipina-American and a Forest Hills High School student, was praised by her older colleagues at the Master Classes as singer with a “gorgeous” voice.

One 30-year-old soprano from Holland said, “Her voice was so beautiful, I was in tears and crying the whole time she was singing.”

“For such a young age, she is exquisite. Her voice is simply breath taking,” says pianist and accompanist Ivy Adrian of Forest Hills.

Her present voice teacher, Michelle Trovato, praises Berry as, “a young woman with extraordinary talent, drive and maturity for her young age. She is certainly a young talent to keep an eye on!”

Tickets: $25; Students: $15.
