Original Pilipino Music (OPM) icons Joey Albert, Marco Sison and Nonoy Zuñiga are teaming up for a benefit show in Lodi, N.J. on May 24 to help raise funds for the reconstruction of Assumption School in Passi City, Iloilo, as a result of massive damages it incurred during Super Typhoon Haiyan.

Presented by Group Ole, the concert called “Ibang Klase” will be held at Breslin Theater of Felician College at 262 South Main Street in Lodi, NJ 07644.

Show starts at 6 p.m.

Concert producer Dr. Ramon Legarda said “Ibang Klase” aims to rebuild “one classroom at a time.”

He also hailed the three singers for agreeing to cut back on their talent fees to help speed up the rebuilding of the damaged school.

“In a way, we can also apply the title of the concert to these three kindhearted and generous singers for their selflessness,” said Dr. Legarda.

“They’re worried about the young students. Ibang klase talaga sila.”

Reports said the roof of the Assumption building in Passi has been completely blown away, many classrooms submerged and destroyed and the computer lab washed out, with the unaffected parts of the school turned into an evacuation center.

Joey Albert is still sought-after in the concert circuit due to her numerous original hits like “Tell Me,” “Million Miles Away,” “I Remember The Boy” and “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin.”

Nonoy Zuñiga became a timeless crooner because of his OPM classics “Never Ever Say Goodbye,” “Kumusta Ka,” “Doon Lang” and “Love Without Time.”

Marco Sison remains a favorite romantic balladeer with his string of hits like “”Always,” “My Love Will See You Through,” “I’ll Face Tomorrow” and “Make Believe.”

“Ibang Klase” is directed by Freddie Santos, with musical director Lerrick Santos and special guest Filharmonic Band.
