With her latest teleserye “Temptation of Wife” scoring high ratings in Vietnam TV following the massive success of her “Marimar” and “Dyesebel” in the Land of the Ascending Dragon, Marian Rivera is no doubt one of the hottest foreign artists in that country today.

This she proved when fans mobbed her everywhere she went during her visit to Hanoi in early November to promote her show and meet fans.

She even graced the cover of Vietnamese leading magazine “Movie World” (photo above).

A few days ago, she won the Best Foreign Artist in the Face of the Year Awards for 2014 sponsored by Today TV-Vietnam.

The awarding is slated for Jan. 8, 2014.

No wonder a Vietnamese network is reportedly in talks with GMA for a tie up drama project that will be shot entirely in Vietnam, featuring Marian and Vietnam’s top dramatic stars.

“I hope matuloy ‘yung proposed project na ‘yon in Vietnam,” Marian says.

“It will be a new kind of experience for me, parang international project na rinyon. It’s now in the hands of GMA kung bibigyan nila ng go signal.”

As a follow up to “Temptation of Wife” — where she won Best Drama Actress at the recent PMPC Star Awards for Television; and got nominated at the Asian Television Awards in Singapore — Marian will headline next year’s “Carmela” with Alden Richards as her leading man.

Written by Suzette Doctolero, it will be megged by Dominic Zapata.

Also in the cast of “Carmela” are Agot Isidro, Roi Vinzon, Rochelle Pangilinan, Jennica Garcia, Ana Feleo and Max Collins.
