NEW York was a ghost town as an aftermath of the terror attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

Thanks to an aggressive tourist promotion, inspired by a catchy slogan, “I Love NYC,” the city bounced back with a vengeance and today it’s the leading tourist destination in the United States.


I have two important subjects to write about this week and next week, namely, the Nov. 5-11, 2010 issue of the Filipino Reporter captioned: “UN unit rips R.P. gov’t as violator of rape code” and the Pope’s new book entitled: “Light of the World: The Pope, the Church and the Sign of the Times” regarding the use of condoms by prostitutes as a first step toward moralization.


ALTHOUGH the jury is still out when it comes to a lot of foods...as to which foods are good for you and which ones are not...most experts agree on some foods you should definitely eat more of, says the October 2010 issue of the UCLA Division of Geriatrics’ Healthy/Years.

ALTHOUGH, by watching commercials for retirement planners...an idyllic scene of a man, fresh from retirement, boarding a sailboat and heading out over the waves, his smiling wife by his side, as the sun descends below the horizon...one might think the sole secret to retirement bliss is a beautiful bank account, is quite misleading.
