Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to honor San Pedro Calungsod

NOV. 4—The Filipino community in the U.S. northeast will hold a thanksgiving mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan in celebration of the canonization of the 17th century Filipino martyr Pedro Calungsod. The event will start at 2 p.m., with Archbishop Bernard Auza, the apostolic nuncio to Haiti, as the principal celebrant and homilist, according to Eleanor de Leon, wife of Consul General Mario de Leon, Jr., who is the honorary chairman of the steering committee.
