The project, called “Libreng Tawag sa Pinas,” is spearheaded by the Philippine Consulate General New York in partnership with U.S. telecom provider Vonage and Globe Telecoms in the Philippines.

Town hall meet at PhilCenter for staging of ‘Noli Me Tangere’

JAN. 31—The Philippine Consulate General in New York is inviting members of the Filipino-American community and other interested parties to a town hall meeting to discuss the staging of Philippine National Artist Felipe de Leon Padilla’s opera “Noli Me Tangere” based on the masterpiece of Dr. Jose P. Rizal. The opera, to be staged by a Filipino-American production and artistic team, will be held in October 2013. Filipino School of NY&NJ’s conversational Tagalog course
