APRIL 5 & 8—The Philippine Consulate General will commemorate “Araw ng Kagitingan” (Day of Valor) by offering a free screening of Filipino war films “Corregidor,” “Bataan” and “Back to Bataan” at the lobby of the Philippine Center on Fifth Avenue. “Corregidor,” a 71-minute, black and white epic that tells the love story of Royce and Dr. Jan Stockhom during the invasion of the Philippines by the Japanese, will be screened on April 5 (Friday) at 1 p.m. The April 8 screening will have a double feature — “Bataan” and “Back to Bataan” — both B&W films with total running time of 209 minutes.
