Hosted by Pilipino American Unity for Progress and LEGACY NY in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General New York, the event is open to all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students who will complete their coursework this academic year in the greater New York/New Jersey region. Handang Tumulong presents Leyte Dance Theater in N.J.

JUNE 13—Handang Tumulong Foundation (HTFI) will present the Leyte Dance Theater in its 2014 USA Tour as it continues to mesmerize the world with its dynamic admixture of modernized indigenous fused choreography with a distinct style that is visually rich and emotionally riveting. The group is composed of dancers from the Eastern Visayas region who either lives and studies in Tacloban City that was devastated by Super Typhoon Yolanda. The show, which aims to raise funds in the rebuilding of the affected areas, will be held at Montclair (NJ) State University’s Memorial Auditorium.
