Buklod Group Concelebrated Mass and Fiesta

JUNE 26—This year’s concelebrated mass and fiesta will be held at Our Lady of Visitation Church in Paramus, NJ. The 3:00 pm mass will be followed by a procession, floral offerings, sinulog dance, dinner and some entertainment numbers. The Buklod Group was founded by then Rev Fr. Rudy Osorio, now retired in Cebu City. For many years, the 23-year old organization has been sponsoring scholarships to poor but deserving students of the priesthood.  According to Rev Fr. Arcadio Munoz, Buklod's  adviser and scholarship moderator, as well as parish priest of the St Evangelist Church in Bergenfield, NJ - there are now 14 seminarians for the year 2010-2011.  In addition to providing scholarships, the organization's other charitable works include reaching out to the victims of calamities such as the hapless survivors of Japan’s tragic events.
