OAKLAND COUNTY, Michigan — The Filipino-American woman whose ex-husband could go to jail for snooping through her e-mails is firing back at what she says are sympathetic portrayals of her ex.

“Moonface: A True Romance,” a hilarious and incredibly moving memoir/love story of a Filipino-American writer who found romance and laughter in the midst of life-threatening illness, is being released by Harper Collins on Feb. 1.

The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture in Baltimore, Maryland recently hosted a reception for Filipino-Americans and some influential leaders in Washington, D.C. to help them “better understand the diverse and rich tapestry that make this land great” and inspire the Fil-Am community to have its own museum.

The New York-based Filipino American Legal Defense and Education Fund (FALDEF) and the Philippine Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to better serve Filipinos and Filipino-Americans suffering legal injustices across the United States.
