The Philippines, through the Mountain Province Espresso Bar, along with 12 other countries, participated in the Le Salon Du Café / Thé, a coffee/tea tasting fair at the United Nations headquarters in New York on May 18, 2017.

The Philippine Consulate General in New York invited Mountain Province Espresso Bar to participate in the fair to give them added exposure and to be able to assist in efforts to introduce Philippine coffee brands to the international audience.

Mountain Province Espresso Bar is a Filipino owned and Philippine-inspired coffee shop located in Brooklyn, N.Y., which specializes in organic coffee imported from small growers in the Philippines, particularly from Benguet.

During the fair, guests were offered several coffee blends and were also able to sample Philippine baked treats such as cassava cakes, coconut muffins and pineapple scones.
