Carina and Ferdinand Suba.

Carina C. Suba was recently appointed the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of St. Francis Hospital (specialty designated cardiac center) in Roslyn, N.Y.

She was formerly the Director of Clinical Documentation Program (CDI) at North Shore-LIJ Health System in Manhasset, N.Y., and prior to that was Director of CDI at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.

She also held various management positions at different hospitals in the New York metropolitan area.

At the age of 19, she graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, #1 in her graduating class of 1981, S, Cum Laude and Rector’s Awardee for Academic Excellence.

She obtained her Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) at Hunter College in New York City.

She is Nurse Executive-Board Certified (NE-BC) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).

She was also a certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and certified as Medical-Surgical (RNC).

Mother to her two children: Katrina, a credentialing coordinator at Mt. Sinai-Beth Israel in New York City and pursuing her Master’s in Health Administration (MHA) at Hofstra University; and Ferdinand Jr., a graduating pre-law student at the IVY league school of Cornell University.

Carina is married to Ferdinand G. Suba, Esq., a practicing attorney in Manhattan who was recently conferred the 2nd highest rank of Knight Grand Officer of Rizal (KGOR) at the recently concluded 6th Regional Assembly of the Knights of Rizal held in New Jersey on Sept. 2-5, 2016.
