TEANECK, N.J. — Prelude to Holy Name Medical Center’s 9th Annual Health Festival, a press conference to announce the Part 1 and Part 2 events was held at Marian Hall here on Aug. 30, 2017.

Kyung Hee Choi (Vice President, Asian Health Services) delivered the Welcome Remarks announcing Part 1 is the Comprehensive Blood Test on Sept. 16 (Saturday) and Sept. 17 (Sunday).

Venue is at Holy Name Medical Center’s Marian Hall (718 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666).

Time is from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Part 2 is Screenings, Exams & Consultations on Sept. 30 (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Part 1 must be completed to proceed with Part 2.

Part 1:

12-hour fasting required

Blood test includes: Cholesterol, Anemia, Diabetes, Liver Function, Kidney Function and more.

Part 2:

EKG, Prostate, Eye, Hemorrhoid (first come, first served)

Flu Vaccination

According to Choi, there are around 280 Asian-American doctors who are under the umbrella of Asian Health Services.

Many visitors from all over the country participate in the services.

Korean-American Dr. Paul Han next explained the role of physician in community health.

“Holy Name Medical Center is a wonderful venue, especially to patients who are uninsured,” said Dr. Han.

“I am grateful to be a part of the program.”

Filipino-American Dr. Grace Candelario spoke about the role of the Fil-Am community at Holy Name.

Choi gave an Asian Health Festival Data Presentation detailing Asian Health Festival Participants from 2011-2016.
