As part of its ongoing efforts to engage Filipino-Americans in the U.S. Northeast Region through sports, the Consulate staff and family members joined in the 2nd Annual Kids Philippines Charity Golf Tournament at the Pequot Golf Club in Stonington, Connecticut on Aug. 11, 2018.

Consulate personnel participated in the said Tournament to support Kids Philippines Inc. (KPI) in its aim to help 22 public schools and more than 1,000 students throughout the Philippines.

KPI provides school supplies, backpacks and assistance for school fees to deserving young students.

KPI also provides assistance for various communities affected by natural disasters.

Other participants of the tournament came from Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New Hampshire.

The Consulate’s participation in the tournament strengthened its ties with the community and helped the Kids Philippines Inc. achieve its objectives to support underprivileged kids in the Philippines.
