The 7th annual CFC ANCOP USA Global Walk is being held in August and September 2017 in 45 cities in 24 states around the U.S.

ANCOP New Jersey Walk was held at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J. on Sept. 10.

Some 180 members of CFC ANCOP New Jersey participated in the Walk, which, was followed by a picnic.

Lunch time was highlighted by a short talk from Jersey City Council President Rolando Lavarro, Jr.

The councilman praised what the group has been doing for the poor.

The annual fund-raising event is held around the world where there are Couples for Christ (CFC) organizations.

The Walk is open to all and is organized by ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor), the work for the poor arm of CFC.

Proceeds from ANCOP Global Walk go to its Child Sponsorship Program (scholarships for poor Filipino children) and Community Development Program (providing houses for the homeless).

Currently, there are 7,000 ANCOP scholars (including 700 ANCOP USA scholars) studying around the Philippines.

Many of those scholars have already graduated and are now helping their respective families financially.

CFC ANCOP is now in 105 countries. It has 700,000 adults and 300,000 young adults and children members.
