TAMPA — On May 29, President Obama, who has said he would have to think “long and hard” before letting a son play tackle football due to the risk of head injuries, will be hosting the White House Healthy Kids & Safe Sports Concussion Summit hoping to raise awareness on how to identify, treat and prevent concussions.

The Gloucester County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in South Jersey has announced that its president Loretta Winters (above), who is of Filipino and African-American descent, will be honored, along with nine others as a “2014 Gamechanger” for the African-American community in the Greater Philadelphia area on CBS 3, The CW Philly and KYW Newsradio 1060, as part of their Black History Month Celebration.
